CERN is a bi-lingual Organization, with French and English as working languages. It is important to at least have some knowledge of one of these two languages when you apply: the specific language requirements will be provided in the vacancy notice you apply for. One thing is for sure: if you don't know one of the two languages, coming to work at CERN will give you a great opportunity to learn it!
You can re-use the same reference letters as long as they are not older than 12 months old at the time you apply for the position, and that they are relevant to your new application(s).
To re-use previously submitted letters, you do not need to do anything, the letters are in your profile and will be considered automatically.
All documents must be in either English or French.
If your academic transcript is not in English or French, we kindly request you to translate it in either English or French.
Please note that you can translate the document yourself.
CERN is not an educational establishment and therefore does not provide scholarships. However, we have several student programmes that offer a subsistence allowance or a financial compensation.
Specific positions: please note that the selection process takes time. However, you can see the status of the selection in your candidate profile.
Technical and Administrative Student Programme: the results are sent shortly after the selection committee. Given that there are two committees per year (in June and December), you should receive the answer by the end of June and the end of December, respectively.
