Programme Overview

What we offer

  • A competitive compensation net of tax based on the grade assigned to the job and your years of relevant experience.
  • Coverage by CERN’s comprehensive health insurance scheme (for yourself, your partner and children) and contribution to CERN Pension Fund
  • Depending on your individual circumstances: an installation grant, family, child and infant allowances as well as travel expenses to Geneva upon joining CERN
  • 30 days of paid leave per year plus 2 weeks during annual closure of CERN
  • An initial contract duraction of 1 to 5 years (with the possibility to extend up to 8 years)

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality
    You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State
    Our Member and Associate Member States
  • Specific role requirements
    Pay attention to the criteria and requirements of each specific staff position.
  • Previous CERN experience
    If you have previously held a staff contract at CERN, you are not eligible for staff positions.

Recruitment process for this programme

  1. Submit application
    Apply with your CV (English or French) and complete the online application before the deadline. Add any documents you consider relevant to your application.
  2. Application review and asynchronous interview
    Your application will be reviewed and you may be invited to take part in an asynchronous video interview.
  3. Panel interview(s)
    You may be invited to take part in a online interview with aselection panel to learn more about you and assess your technical skills, share details of CERN and the position, and for you both to determine if it could be a good fit. This may be followed by an on-site visit to further explore the position and environment.
  4. Offer and onboarding
    If you are successful, you will receive a job offer. Once you accept, your onboarding journey begin!
