Programme overview
The CERN Short-Term Internship Programme is designed to provide students with an immersive experience in one of the world’s leading scientific institutions. Over 1 to 6 months, you’ll be part of a team working on real-world projects in fields like applied physics, engineering, computing, or administration. This is your chance to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom to groundbreaking work that has a global impact.

What we offer

Eligibility Criteria

NationalityYou are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.Our Member and Associate Member States

Educational Background and Student StatusYou are pursuing a technical/administrative diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree. You remain enrolled as a full-time student during your studentship.

AgeYou are at least 18 years of age.

Language SkillsYou have a good working knowledge of English or French.
Recruitment process for this programme
