What you'll do
You will participate in the inspection and maintenance of electro-mechanical DC switching systems as well as in the installation and performance validation test of a new equipment. This includes execution of tests, production of specific test equipment, component ordering, mounting, unmounting and service of the electro-mechanical parts.
Your responsibilities
- Contribute to the assembly of interface cables and mechanical structures.
- Participate in the CAD design of components for the section.
- Participate in the assembly of backplanes and test/debug electronic circuits.
- Provide support with the procurement of components.
- Participate to the regular maintenance of the high current energy extraction systems in the LHC such as inspection and maintenance of mechanical components, measurement and correction of the geometrical parameters, measurement and fine tuning of the electrical characteristics, execute the individual system tests.

Your profile
- Initial experience and studies focused on Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics.
Your skills
- Basic knowledge in electricity, electrotechnics or electronics.
- Technical skills in mounting and dismounting mechanical parts and elements.
- Soldering of electronic/electrical low voltage components, printed circuit boards, connectors.
- Good communication skills to effectively share information and provide technical support.
- Ability to write reports and organising and executing electrical/ electronic validation tests would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of how use measurement instrumentation, debugging of equipment, providing solutions will be an advantage.
- Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language.
Employment conditions
