If so, you’re in the right place! Join the Host State Relations (HSR) service in the Stakeholder Engagement (SE) group in the Stakeholder Relations (SR) sector!
The mission of the Host State Relations service is to contribute to the proper functioning of CERN by working in collaboration with the Host State authorities and other Swiss and French public entities.
Your responsibilities
- Conducting research and providing analyses on administrative and diplomatic issues.
- Collecting documentation and drafting notes and presentations for meetings with Host State authorities.
- Following-up on meetings and processes (writing minutes, letters, emails, etc., including of a confidential nature).
- Analysing requests and questions from local stakeholders and issues raised by CERN Departments and staff members related to Host States procedures and drafting positions and answers.
- Preparing notes verbales, letters and documents relevant to the Host State authorities in the context of processes, events and visits.
- Ensuring maintenance of the institutional memory of the Service, including monitoring files and ensuring proper archiving of information.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria
- You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State. Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field and your highest educational qualification is either a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must have a university degree and can’t hold a PhD.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Please pay attention to the additional criteria and requirements for this specific position and mentioned above.
