Are you passionate about visuals, design and science? Would you like to take part in a dynamic team of experienced designers? Join the Visual and Design team in the Visual Impact and Exhibitions (VIE) section, the Education, Communications and Outreach (ECO) group in the Stakeholder Relations (SR) sector at CERN!
In addition to further expanding their Graphic Designer skills in an international research laboratory, the successful candidate will gain knowledge about high-energy physics, latest technology developments and international collaboration in a unique multicultural environment.
Your responsibilities
- Provide design concepts and execute creative, high-quality designs from concept to delivery.
- Embody brand guidelines to create cohesive multi-channel visual assets across a multicultural, multitask environment.
- Design and prepare print assets for publications, brochures, posters, long form content and information design in general.
- Collaborate very closely with the ECO group on creating and defining branding guidelines for events and new projects.
- Contribute to projects and work with teams across the IR Sector and CERN.

Your profile
- A portfolio with specific examples of design work.
- Proven experience or knowledge of working with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
- Proficiency of working with PowerPoint and Word in a design environment.
- Your studies focused on Graphic Design, Computing or related.
Your skills
- Passion for graphic design & a strong interest in science.
- Desire to learn from experts and work in teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and communication skills.
- Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria
- You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State. Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field and your highest educational qualification is either a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must have a university degree and can’t hold a PhD.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Please pay attention to the additional criteria and requirements for this specific position and mentioned above.
