What you'll do

We are seeking an experienced Outreach and Communication Manager with a strong background in science communication and scholarly publishing work on Open Research Europe (ORE) platform, soon to be hosted at CERN. As part of a growing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive outreach, communication, and marketing strategies that promote the platform and engage with the scientific community.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement outreach, communication, and marketing strategies aligned with ORE’s mission, in coordination with ORE’s partners and funders.
  • Promote platform awareness among researchers, institutions, funders, and libraries.
  • Create messaging frameworks and materials for diverse stakeholders.
  • Monitor and adjust communication strategies to ensure effectiveness.

Your profile

  • Demonstrated experience in: science communication, scholarly publishing outreach, open science initiatives, open access advocacy, or research communication.
  • Experience managing social media channels for scientific or academic organisations.
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors or agencies for marketing and communications.
  • Strong network within open science, scholarly publishing, or research communities preferred.
