What you'll do

You will work on a PhD research project on quantum-aware data centers, aiming to explore the integration of quantum computing, communication, and memory resources into existing or new cloud infrastructures to build scalable and secure hybrid data centers. The research will address key challenges, including physical infrastructure for quantum hardware, quantum data ingestion, integration of quantum memory systems, distributed quantum computing, and end-to-end network orchestration.

This project will be conducted in collaboration with Scaleway, CERN QTI and LIP6 (Laboratoire d’Informatique de Sorbonne Université Paris, Centre for Quantum Computing – Doctoral school) contributing to the emergence of practical and interoperable hybrid infrastructure in Europe.

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct theoretical research on hybrid quantum algorithms emphasizing the natural integration with different quantum computing technologies.
  • Develop and refine theoretical and computational models for hybrid integration.
  • Implement these models on classical and quantum platforms.
  • Explore the energy footprint modeling of quantum computing infrastructures, particularly at the scale of distributed and cloud-based quantum systems.
