You will join the Business Computing Group (BC), where 80+ talented international colleagues are responsible for delivering information systems for all of CERN’s business functions.


The product management driven group is working for clients across the whole Organisation (HR, Finance, Planning, Site Management, Purchasing, Logistics, and Accelerator Operations). The type of products under the group’s responsibility ranges from custom-made solutions for a few users to large and widely integrated systems with 15,000+ users. Hence, working for the BC group provides numerous perspectives for being in touch with different technologies and business areas.


Your responsibilities

  • Analyse business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain business process documentation (using BPMN and specialised business process modelling tools), including process flows and user requirements.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements.
  • In addition, familiarity with UX principles and methodologies would be advantageous in this role.

Your profile

  • Experience in business analysis in business computing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common business processes / best practices.
  • Experience in working in agile product management environments.
  • Experience with coaching business analysts and specialists in connecting agile roles.

Your skills

  • User relationship management: understanding of user behaviour, journeys and pain-points.
  • Capturing and analysis of requirements for ICT systems: deep enough technology understanding to translate needs to product requirements.
  • Process analysis, definition and improvement: change management.
  • Conceptualising, designing and developing user experiences and interfaces: business computing knowledge in the Finance and HR, Logistics, Supply Chain domain.

Employment conditions

  • Work during nights, Sundays and official holidays, when required by the needs of the Organization.

  • A minimum net entry-salary of 9236 Swiss Francs per month, increasing in line with your years of relevant experience.
