What you'll do
In this role you will engage in the development of a cryogenic cooling loop for a superconducting system, including magnet and current leads. This includes participating in the magnet and leads development fitting the cooling requirements.
Your responsibilities
- Design and operate cryogenic cooling systems with variable temperatures.
- Assist in design of superconducting system meeting requirements for cryogenic cooling
- Optimise thermal interfaces, at magnet and current leads level.
- Execute experiment from cryogenic and superconducting system side.

Your profile
- Experience using mechanical CAD software (e.g., CATIA or similar).
- Experience with FEM software for mechanical and thermal analysis (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Proven capability in organising and executing experimental campaigns using dedicated DAQ systems.
- Your studies focused on Mechanical Engineering.
Your skills
- Ability to prepare reliable designs of cryogenic and mechanical components for working system;
- Data-analysis skills for characterisation of cryogenic cooling systems and its components;
- Knowledge of the electromagnetic fundamentals of superconductivity and applications in current leads and magnets;
- Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language.

- Exposure to electromagnetic fields under certain exposure conditions.
