What you'll do

You will contribute to the Future Circular Collider (FCC)—the organisation’s next flagship project—by overseeing and coordinating the environmental evaluation studies required for the authorisation process, including the environmental impact assessments for a new cross-border particle accelerator project, in accordance with French and Swiss regulatory requirements. This includes managing and monitoring contracts with consulting firms.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure technical and administrative coordination between the appointed consulting firms and guarantee the overall consistency of the environmental evaluation for both France and Switzerland.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of the environmental evaluation study in accordance with the French Environmental Code and Swiss legislation on environmental impact assessments (EIE).
  • Organize and chair follow-up technical committees with experts and ensure the traceability of decisions.
  • Contribute to the multi-criteria impact analysis, as well as the integration of avoidance, reduction and compensation measures.

  • If you have previously held a Staff contract at CERN, you will not be eligible for these positions.
