What you'll do
CERN’s Electrical Engineering Group manages power distribution from high to low voltage, fibre optics, and cabling for the accelerator complex. Within the Electrical Design and Documentation Office, you will support electrical design activities under senior guidance across key projects, including low voltage network renovation of the SPS electrical substations, upgrades of the Meyrin Computer Centre UPS network, and design support during Long Shutdown 3 on various projects. Your role focuses on low voltage distribution design, equipment sizing, protection and lighting studies, progressively leading to more complex project responsibilities.
Your responsibilities
- Design electrical distribution circuits.
- Prepare calculation notes, lighting studies and earthing studies.
- Prepare the respective design drawings related to single line diagrams.
- Prepare bills of material for electrical-related equipment.
