What you'll do
As an Electrical Works Manager within the Cabling Section, you’ll play a key role in expanding, strengthening, and maintaining CERN’s control and power cable installations, required for various systems within the CERN accelerators, such as alarm systems, process control systems, beam instrumentation and magnet powering systems.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse installation and dismantling requests, liaising directly with requestors as needed to complete the required information.
- Conduct on-site technical visits to prepare and coordinate the activities.
- Prepare bills of quantities and quotations.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation detailing the work to be carried out by CERN's electrical installation contractor.
- Manage the logistics required for the activities, such as material delivery, scaffolding setup, and site access.
- Carry out risk assessments related to the execution of the work, identifying potential hazards and defining mitigation measures to ensure safety and compliance with CERN standards.
- Supervise daily activities and report the progress, safety and quality of the works.
- Perform the inspection, testing and acceptance of completed work.

Your profile
- Demonstrated experience in planning, preparing, and overseeing industrial electrical works, including the implementation of lockout/tagout procedures.
- Experience in verifying the technical quality and compliance of electrical installations with applicable standards and specifications.
- Experience in technical supervision of contractors.
- Technical certificate or general secondary education or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Industrial Electrical Installation or a related field.

- Shift work, stand-by duty, and work during nights, Sundays and official holidays, when required by the needs of the Organisation.
