What you'll do

You will contribute to a broad range of activities across two major projects: Site Consolidation and Long Shutdown 3, within dynamic Civil Engineering secton from Site Asset Management Group. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, technicians, and external contractors/consultants, ensuring the quality, safety, and timely delivery of various civil engineering works, including construction, renovation, and maintenance of CERN’s diverse infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing and following up on work requests related to concrete, metal structures, building envelopes, roads/networks and other civil works for surface buildings, underground structures, and technical galleries.
  • Launching and monitoring construction and renovation activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinating multiple trades to ensure smooth execution and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Performing regular on-site inspections and ensuring enforcement of CERN's safety rules.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria

  • You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
  • By the application deadline, you have a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. You are not eligible with only a bachelor’s degree.
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Please pay attention to the additional criteria and requirements for this specific position and mentioned above.
