What you'll do
In this central role, you’ll contribute to the development of 3D models for devices to be installed in our particle accelerators. Your work will include producing detailed technical drawings and defining scan areas for reverse engineering, all within a collaborative and innovative environment. Your responsibilities
- Join CERN during Long Shutdown 3 (LS3) for a unique opportunity to work directly on the LHC machine, deep inside the collider tunnels.
- Collaborate closely with experts from multiple disciplines to ensure the successful integration of new systems and upgrades (This is a central role, embedded within the core teams working on the LHC).
- Participate in 3D integration studies for accelerator equipment and associated services.
- Acquire on-site laser scanning experience for reverse engineering.
- Present your work in technical meetings across various teams.
- Receive specialized CAD training (Catia - PLM) to support your design activities.

You can’t hold a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
