Grades, basic salary and career progression

Entrance salaries (remuneration net of tax) are determined by a grade assigned to each job. Assignment to a given grade is based on the level of functions of the job, as well as the relevant experience, qualification and skills.

Career progression at CERN within a job is based on perfor­mance and expertise. Changes of grades are based on the level of functions and responsibilities.
