As a Planning Engineer within the ATLAS Technical Coordination, you will play a key role in monitoring ATLAS activities during Long Shutdown 3 (LS3). You will be responsible for keeping the installation schedule up to date, reporting any delays, and proposing mitigation measures to recover lost time. The ATLAS schedule is a complex construction programme encompassing several sub-projects. You will collaborate closely with the various Project Engineers and Project Leaders to understand their constraints and support them in implementing any necessary changes to the schedule baseline. You will also join the Project Management Office (PMO) and play a leading role in the preparation of the quarterly status report, assisting the Upgrade Project Leaders in updating the schedule and reporting on progress.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the ATLAS installation schedules for Long Shutdown 3 (LS3), and actively participate in all schedule baseline changes resulting from the evolution of the LS3 programme.
  • Monitor and review the progress of activities during planning meetings and in close collaboration with Project Engineers.
  • Report any delays to the Technical Coordination Management and propose mitigation measures to recover lost time.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the scheduling tools.
