You will join the Business Computing Group (BC), where 80+ talented international colleagues are responsible for delivering information systems for all of CERN’s business functions.
The product management driven group is working for clients across the whole Organisation (HR, Finance, Planning, Site Management, Purchasing, Logistics, and Accelerator Operations). The type of products under the group’s responsibility ranges from custom-made solutions for a few users to large and widely integrated systems with 15,000+ users. Hence, working for the BC group provides numerous perspectives for being in touch with different technologies and business areas.
Your responsibilities
- Analyse business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Develop and maintain business process documentation (using BPMN and specialised business process modelling tools), including process flows and user requirements.
- Guide cross-functional teams in the implementation of process improvements and system enhancements.
- In addition, familiarity with UX principles and methodologies would be advantageous in this role.
- Lead business analysis efforts to support the strategic objectives of our activities.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management based on analysis findings.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress towards organisational goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritise business requirements.
- Involved in the BA/UX chapter activities such as coordinating practices, contributing to the definition and continuous improvement of shared methodologies, and supporting the development and coaching of team members.

Your profile
- Experience in business analysis in business computing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of common business processes / best practices.
- Experience in working in agile product management environments.
- Experience with coaching business analysts and specialists in connecting agile roles.
- Experience in strategic product initiatives and framing high-level business initiatives is a nice to have.
- Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Business and Management, Design, Computer Science or a related field.
Your skills
- User relationship management: understanding of user behaviour, journeys and pain-points.
- Capturing and analysis of requirements for ICT systems: deep enough technology understanding to translate needs to product requirements.
- Process analysis, definition and improvement: change management.
- Conceptualising, designing and developing user experiences and interfaces: business computing knowledge in the Finance and HR, Logistics, Supply Chain domain.
- Identification and selection of relevant emerging ICT technologies:
- Focuses on the broader picture; is able to set aside individual or team needs in the interest of the Organization.
- Shows appreciation for the ideas and contributions of others and encourages others to express their views, even if controversial.
- Works well in groups and readily fits into a team; participates fully and takes an active role in team activities.
- Takes responsibility for own actions and decisions.
- Actively seeks feedback on own performance and takes steps to improve it.
- Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the other language.
