Working closely with experienced colleagues, you will contribute to the operation and evolution of these services through automation, internal web development and user support. The role offers exposure to software provisioning, licence usage analysis, container-based workflows for FPGA development, and service support in an international organisation environment. You will also contribute to shared section activities, including providing support for the e-mail service.
Your responsibilities
- Contribute to improving service processes, including the migration of licence management workflows to the CERN resources portal.
- Develop Python-based tools, reports and dashboards to analyse licence usage and support contract renewal discussions.
- Contribute to the generation and maintenance of EDA tool containers for CERN's CI infrastructure for FPGA development.
- Help maintain and evolve in-house web tools used to manage software access requests, approvals and provisioning.
- Provide user-oriented support for software installation, access and service requests through the ServiceNow platform.
- Share first-line support activities across section services, including limited involvement in the e-mail service.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operation of the service in collaboration with more experienced team members.
