What you'll do
You will join the team working on oil-filled and cast-resin transformers for power converter applications. You will contribute to an ongoing renovation program aimed at progressively replacing oil-filled transformers with modern cast-resin transformers, driven by environmental considerations.
The role is hands-on and site-based, involving close interaction with equipment in operation. You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers, technicians, and external contractors for the integration of transformers within complex power converter systems. The role also offers you exposure to advanced low-voltage and medium-voltage power systems, and it provides you with many opportunities to further develop your practical and diagnostic skills in a high-level technical environment.
Your responsibilities
- Support installation and commissioning activities for new or refurbished transformers, including verification of protection, control, and interlock circuits.
- Contribute to the integration of transformers into upgraded power converter systems, ensuring correct connection and compatibility with control and protection equipment.
- Prepare basic 3D mechanical drawings or layouts for simple integration tasks when required.
- Contribute to technical documentation: electrical diagrams, test reports, installation procedures, and equipment inventory updates.
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics and functional tests of oil-filled and cast-resin transformers.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities on transformers.
