What you'll do
You will be part of the Experimental Physics (EP) Department which carries out research in the field of experimental particle physics. This Department aims to provide a stimulating scientific atmosphere and remains an important reference centre for the European physics community. It contributes to the education and training of young scientists.
Your responsibilities
- Take a leading role in all aspects of particle physics experiments, including the conception and design of experiments, the building and operation of detectors and the analysis of data.
- Coordinate or make important contributions to studies, projects or committee work.
- Represent the Organization at conferences, workshops, or in other research laboratories and institutions.
- Supervise research and development work, and planning and managing activities including material and personnel resources.

Your profile
- You have an established record of post-doctoral experience and have completed high-impact work in experimental particle physics research.
- Experience in data analysis and in the use of on-line / off-line software
- Demonstrated competence in detector hardware and experimental instrumentation.
- Capacity for innovation and potential for making a significant contribution to the scientific programme of the Organization.
- PhD in the field of particle physics or a related field.
