What you'll do
You will be working on CERN’s 5-Yearly Review, a strategic project that shapes our compensation and benefits policies. With the Compensation and Benefits team, you will analyse benchmarking results and contribute to assessing modifications to CERN’s compensation structures and policies and model “what if” scenarios to evaluate the impact of policy changes. In addition, you will provide analytical support to the wider HR Department by developing dashboards and reports and occasionally support the analysis and determination of entry-level salaries in line with CERN’s compensation framework.
Your responsibilities
- Participate in Compensation & Benefits benchmarking exercises, structural analysis and the review and development of related policies, including modelling of "what-if" scenarios.
- Perform data extraction, analysis and reporting to support compensation and benefits activities.
- Support operational activities in the area of entry salary calculations.
- Develop, maintain and improve dashboards, reports and data visualisations for the HR department.
- Ensure data quality and consistency by understanding underlying HR data and processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data analytics tools and reporting, including the integration of AI tools.

Your profile
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and visualise data clearly.
- Good knowledge of Excel and Power BI (data manipulation, modeling and visualisation, and advanced functions).
- Understanding of HR data and processes.
- Experience with an HCM system, such as Oracle Fusion Cloud, would be an advantage.
- Your studies focused on Human Resources, Business Administration.

- You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State. Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
- By the application deadline, you have a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. You are not eligible with only a bachelor’s degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
