What you'll do

As a full-stack developer in the Tools Team at SY-EPC-CCS, you’ll become the main responsible for a set of crucial web applications used by converter experts to ensure smooth operation of the power converters at CERN. You’ll be working closely with other team members, applying an agile work approach, and work on different products in sprints (Scrum).

Your responsibilities

  • Working on front-ends in JavaScript (Vue3.js).
  • Working on back-ends in Python (FastAPI).
  • Working on databases in SQL (PostgreSQL / Oracle).
  • Contributing to the team's containerisation setup / workflow (Docker, Compose, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm).

  • Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria

  • You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
  • By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field and your highest educational qualification is either a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must have a university degree and can’t hold a PhD.
  • You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Please pay attention to the additional criteria and requirements for this specific position and mentioned above.
