What you'll do
As an HR Adviser (HRA) for one or more client departments, you will be the privileged contact for all people matters. You will partner with the department(s) to support the management as well as the individual staff members, from contract signature until contract end. We help individuals and managers to create the best possible work environment for themselves and for their teams. We give customized support and advice to people at important milestones during their time at CERN (typically onboarding, career events, off-boarding) as well as on request. We are in charge of ensuring equitable treatment throughout the Organization and to drive the adaptation of HR policies as the workplace evolves.
Your responsibilities
- Advise and help individual staff members on a wide range of HR-related topics such as their contract and career, working conditions, wellbeing in the workplace, conflict handling, etc;
- Guide and support management through an equitable, meaningful and efficient implementation of major HR processes (typically concerning career and contract evolution); advise and support managers on HR and people matters (performance and talent management, organisational design, work life balance, conflict management etc);
- Collect and analyse feedback and data, and report on the value, efficiency and meaning of HR policies, processes, and trends in view of the creation of the best possible workplace. Formulate improvement and innovation proposals, manage and/or contribute to HR projects;
- Team up with (more junior) colleagues to provide professional support and guidance to students and graduates.

Your profile
- Experience in an HR Adviser/Business Partner (HRA/HRBP) role ideally in a multicultural environment, or experience in more than one area of HR expertise and interest to transition to a generalist HRBP role.
- Master's degree or PhD or equivalent relevant experience in the field of human resources, economics, business administration, behavioural sciences, law together with professional training in the field of human resources or a related field.
