Civil Engineering Works Supervisor

What you'll do

You will contribute to a broad range of activities across two major projects: Site Consolidation and Long Shutdown 3, within dynamic Civil Engineering secton from Site Asset Management Group. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, technicians, and external contractors/consultants, ensuring the quality, safety, and timely delivery of various civil engineering works, including construction, renovation, and maintenance of CERN’s diverse infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

Managing and following up on work requests related to concrete, metal structures, building envelopes, roads/networks and other civil works for surface buildings, underground structures, and technical galleries.
Launching and monitoring construction and renovation activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Coordinating multiple trades to ensure smooth execution and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Performing regular on-site inspections and ensuring enforcement of CERN's safety rules.
Conducting quality control checks and supervising contractors' daily activities.
Verifying the proper execution of works and ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules.
Managing budgetary aspects: reviewing quotations, launching orders, and validating contractors' final measurements.
Using CERN's computer-based tools for project tracking, reporting, and documentation.

You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State.
By the application deadline, you have a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. You are not eligible with only a bachelor’s degree.
You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
